Our guides are chosen for their experience, reputation and good nature; qualities which leave their mark on those who have been guided by them. Our head guide is Mr. Miguel "Lito" Sánchez, the acting president of the Argentine Asociacion of Professional Mountain Guides (Asociación Argentina de Guías Profesionales de Montaña - AAGPM).

Their qualifications, knowledge, and experience on Aconcagua and many other of the world's tallest mountains ensure you the highest standards of safety and professional high altitude mountain guiding service.

Heber Orona (the only Argentine to climb Mount Everest without the use of additional oxygen and to have reached six of the famous 'seven summits') is responsible for developing the expedition itineraries and plays an active role in the expeditions themselves.

After more than 10 years of experience on Aconcagua our expeditions have been perfected to ensure our clients the highest possible chance of success in reaching the summit. However, this success does not come at the cost of the expedition members' safety. Client safety is our highest priority. Our guides are all nationally certified and members of the AAGPM (Argentine Association of Professional Mountain Guides), selected for their skill and experience. The guide to client ratio is always considered in terms of maintaining the highest safety factor possible rather than the highest profit margin. As proof of this concern over safety our guided expeditions have yet to suffer any accidents or medical emergencies.
One of the fundamental advantages of our company is that we are not a commercial outfitter that offers guiding services but rather mountain guides that offer their hard-earned expertise. We are very familiar with every detail that must go into an expedition as well as all the time, hard work, and energy that our clients have invested in preparing for the climb.
Aconcagua Expediciones is a local company, which means that we have a thorough knowledge of the finest hotels, the most reliable transportation services, and the most dependable base camp support and cargo mule outfitters in the area. This in turn, allows us to offer our clients service of the highest quality, on an international level.

We offer two types of expeditions:

• Expeditions with fixed dates and open registration
• Customized expeditions made to meet the needs of a particular group or client

In this way we can satisfy the requirements of individual mountaineers and small or large groups so that every one of them can live out their dream of reaching the tallest mountain in the Western Hemisphere.
We offer more than just logistical and guide service: we provide constant support and advise along all the stages leading to and during the expedition on every aspect necessary for you to reach the summit of Aconcagua (training, health, climbing techniques, etc.).
